Delhi (In Hindi: दिल्ली or देहली) is the capital of the Bharatvarsh (i.e. India) and is one of the metropolitan areas in the country. Delhi has long been the centre of power and politics and has been found as the region where the whole episode of Mahabharat took place around 3100 BC. Delhi remained to be capital during Prithviraj Chauhan’s reign as Lalkot, and after him, Mughal and English Rulers also chose to keep Delhi as the capital of Hindustan and India respectively.
Today, Delhi NCR is a buzzing place with many residential areas, commercial spaces and headquarters & offices of central & many state governments.
